Advise for bloggers and residents from curator of village.
My internet experience goes back to the 1997 year. I made a web book and I made 'Hippie Village' site in my country at that time. Yes, I could speak and I wrote some posts. Well,, I think this village is much better. There were many social issues rather than life.
So, If you are a site owner, you have to improve your site continually because you will meet a big problem about how can you show your posts to visitors or how can get visitors too.
: Basic Advice
But, we can use blog template or site template nowaday. If you have got a single site, and if you don't want to be a pop star, It may not so hard. But you have to check this at least. I already had written about some basic advice.
For Village Blogger I
This post says three points. 1. Font size and width. 2. List to find posts easily. 3. Useful information to someone.
Just, this post was written for old style blogger. Now you can use big font size on the new templates of the Blogger.
I would like to add some more now. Your post needs a proper title. If your post doesn't have got any interesting title, nobody doesn't read it. And don't think visitors can find your posts what you hide.
'List and title'. These are everything. If your posts don't have got these, that is not existent information. Simply think about this. Every book has got the list consisted of proper sub titles.
: Social Media
I think G+ is the best because there are bloggers too. Bloggers can notice new posts in G+. You can use communities too though we are using it well or not yet. Also, search sites can show your profile and collections.
I used to say Social Media is not an information tool because it's a radio station, not a book. But, you can use the collection. You can make a good result. But, I will say it again. Think about this story.
One day, Name 'Hippie' or 'Buddha' liked my posts or followed me on Twitter or SoundCloud. Then, Who is he? He did 30 likes per 60 sec for all night long. Your posts are not information to him. Only this kind of people can rich to your profile in this vast place like Facebook or Twitter.
Then, Who they are? They were personal web site user in the early internet age. They had got their photos rather than information. And they settled in the social Media world. You can't win social media user. Social media is the best way to promote your self. In this social media world, all people want to promote about them. Everybody wants to show what is their lunch, and everybody doesn't want to know about it. But they have to see it to show their lunch too. That's the principle of social media.
So don't put information to there. They don't want any information. Facebook, Twitter, These worlds are closed. Not the web. But, Tumblr or Especially G+ is close to the web. I am interested in your information or your possibility, not your happiness. That's the web.
So, One blog or site, and G+, that's not bad. You can use G+ freely. Just I am saying you have to know there are many people in social media world but they are not for your blog.
: To the web
If your blog is not about popular one, you can't get visitors. But, web space is a useful place for cooperation. Even just one person's one posting can be a book. Join in this village is a cooperation and also we can get a chance to be better in this process.
Web works don't need immediate visitors. That's the solution. But, We have to arrange information well. We can talk about it at the inside blog.
But 'Living Place' is a much private place. Even, you can use this place such as a social media. In this case, You have to put proper label name. Also when you can write freely, you can get good posts.
I can suggest some simple ways. You can link your blog on the menu bar of your city and you can post for promotion in your city. Also, you can make your list too. and links on your list will go to your posts on your blog. In this case, Just you get one good list page.
So, we will not go into the social media. We will use it and we will go to the web world. And we will be together as much as possible. Someday, that moment will come.
